Dafna Naphtali
Sound-artist, electronic musician, singer, guitarist, composer/performer of experimental, contemporary, improvised music with her Max/MSP programming for live-sound-processing. She makes music for robots, interactive sound (and video) art, and “Audio Chandelier” multi-channel sound works. Her eclectic musical background fuels interpretations of Cage, Stockhausen and others, in well-regarded projects with musicians around the world. She’s published blogs, articles, book chapters, and released recordings: on Clang, Acheulian Handaxe and Tzadik (“What is it Like to be a Bat?” digital punk w/Kitty Brazelton). “Walkie Talkie Dreams” (walkietalkiedreams.org), her audio-augmented reality soundwalks for U-GRUVE AR, can be heard on-site at the Brooklyn and Hamburg Waterfronts, and Washington Square Park (NYC).
