Laura Pronestì

Laura Pronestì is a professional sound engineer from Milan, Italy. In her free time, she has two different projects which is very proud of:

– Elephant in Siberia, an electro-jazz duo with Chantal Antonizzi, singer, in which Laura is the producer of the electronics and sound designer. Her sound is influenced by ambient, low-fi and trip-hop music.

– Recording Atlas, a website in which we created a visual atlas of sound recordings, an interactive map in which visual and acoustic stimuli are matched. Recording Atlas project wants to provide the user with a wider range of stirrings in describing and telling about a place. Most of the recordings available so far have been made in high quality (48.000 Hz/24 bit in .wav lossless format) with portable recorders and binaural microphones.
