Mariana Carvalho

Mariana Carvalho is a Brazilian pianist, improviser and performer, keen on body, gender and transdisciplinarities. Experiments with objects inside the piano and explores corporealities via eutony. Interested in weaving sonic relations in space, installations, expanded sonic bodies, free improvisation, experimental music, theatre, dance. Part of Sonora – músicas e feminismos network (feminist collective), Orquestra Errante (free improvisation group) and NuSom (Research Center on Sonology of University of São Paulo). She has performed in Brazil, Argentina and Mexico.
