Martina Bertoni

Martina Bertoni is a Berlin based cellist. Classically trained, she skipped classic music to explore different territories of ambient, improvisation, experimental and electronic music. The core of her work is based on rebuilding her identity as a cellist and deconstructing the relationship with her instrument throughout compositional and performing techniques of electronic and ambient music.

After many years spent playing with other artists, she decided to pursue her solo path. In 2018 she released her first solo EP, In A Paradise You Would Be Happy, followed by The green EP in 2019.

Her cello has been featured on numerous records and soundtracks for awarded movies and TV series. She’s composed different scores for movies, theatre and dance performances.
